Sometimes when you’re locked out of your house it’s a good idea to contact your landlord or someone with an extra key. Most times your Landlord can get you back into your house with no problem. It’s also a good idea to give a good friend or your family member a spare key to your house just incase you get locked out.

3) See If A Window Is Open To Crawl Into.

If you’re locked out of your home and have no way to get a spare key another way to get into your locked house is to crawl through an open window. Look for a window that you know is unlocked and climb through it. Be careful you don’t fall while trying to get through your window and if the window is to high you may have to contact a neighbor in order to get a ladder, or some help getting to your window.

4) Pull Out That Plastic Credit Card.

Depending on how secure your door lock is than sometimes you’ll be able to use a credit card in order to get into your locked house. When using a credit card you want to make sure that it’s a thicker card or it may not be strong enough to open the door. Place your credit card in between your door frame and lock. Jiggle your card in order to try and get it in between the door jam and locking mechanism while pushing your door handle.

5) Take Your Door Knob Apart.

One way to get into your locked house is to take the door knob apart. For this you will need some tools so you may have to contact a friend or neighbor if you don’t have any on hand. For most door knobs a paperclip, hammer, and screw driver will work to take your door knob apart. First, take your screw driver and remove the screws from your door knob. After that is done you want to remove the hinge screws using your paper clip.
